I'm Ashic Mahtab - a .Net enthusiast with a hunger for software architecture, design patterns, asp.net, silverlight and anything new and happening in the .Net world.
I'm currently a Software Architect at Earthware Ltd, where I promote best practices and develop software using Asp.net MVC, Asp.net, Asp.net Ajax, WCF, Silverlight, jQuery, Entity Framework, Linq to SQL, Bing maps, Google maps... Before joining Earthware, I developed a lot of projects for clients across the globe as a freelance developer since going pro back in 2004. I'm an avid fan of the .Net framework and most of my professional (and hobby) work has revolved around it. When I'm not developing or designing software, I can be found at the official Asp.net forums where I go by the nick "HeartattacK". I'm a moderator of the forums and also a 35,000+ point "All-Star".
I like taking sessions at various Microsoft events, and have given talks on technologies ranging from ASP.NET with Azure to Silverlight 4 with WCF RIA Services.
I am by no means a guru in my field but I'm constantly eager to learn new things and help others out with what I know. Perhaps for this reason, Microsoft awarded me the Asp.net Most Valuable Professional (MVP) award back in July 2009.
I hold a BSc in Computer Science and Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and in my very little spare time, I like to play games, watch movies, read books, have fun - just like any other geek out there.
